Statues Part I

Okay, so technically the FIRST post should have been "Statues Part I" and the SECOND post "Statues Part II," but I knew people were going to see the second post first, as it would be closer to the top of the page. So I named them out of order... sorta. Sorry if I confuse a lot of people.

Fandemonium is tomorrow, and I'm pretty nervous. This is my first attempt at selling my figures in a public venue (I've made some by commission before), and I have NO idea what to expect. (I guess I should be lucky my table's in a fairly open Artist's Alley and not in a cramped stuffy Dealer Room...)

Because some people have requested pics, I have decided to post them on the blog. Enjoy.

And yes, I'm pretty much sick of Sculpey clay right now...

Ornaments and/or dangles. I made a Harry Seeker to go with the Malfoy Seeker on the right, but I didn't get him done in time to photograph.

The hatching dragon on the right was the first figure I made for the convention. I was going to make a whole series of aliens (in chef's hat, hula-girl gear, Mexican sombrero, etc.) to go with the hitchhiker on the left, but I ran out of time and green clay.

The first thing I ever made out of Sculpey clay was a dragon, and they are still my favorite creature to make. I call the statue of the dragon and knight on the left "Oh Crap!"

Gary Larson has his cows, I have my dragons. Shmendrick posed for the dragon on the left, and yes, that's what he looks like. (Okay, so he didn't pose, he was sleeping, but the dang thing doesn't hold still long enough anyway...)

Cool TIE fighter.

Oh, the Alien and the dragon coming out of the egg are really cute!

Very, VERY cool dragons. I love the black and red one. [But hey, I'm big on black and red! For... some... strange reason...]

Good luck at Fandemonium Friday!!! :)

These are GREAT! I'll take a Yoda please!

P.S. I think I've got a lead on where Palpy hid the Horcrux... I found an odd message in my inbox a few days ago... "The item you seek is hidden in the place where the story began".

Which story?

A New Hope? So that would be the remains of Captain Antilles's ship.

Or the blog? At Kenya's movie theater? Maybe one of her stories?

Actually it could be any story. It could be Harry Potter, since the item in question is a horcrux.

My suspicion is that it's somewhere on Tatooine. The real big sweep of Vader's life story started from that planet, along with Luke's. We're gonna need search parties.

The Asgard could have him out in a jiffy! We've been keeping an eye on him on the side, so whenever you're ready, we'll just beam him out. We can get out of range of even the most INSANE apparator, and the Asgard will work on a new body for him.

Well, what she doesn't know--yet--won't have a lightsaber at my throat. And my thoughts are that she'll be too happy to have Severus around to be angry at us.

So...we're saving him from a terrible death.

zachariasofborg: I think we'll stick with Rinnalaiss' plan. Severus wouldn't agree to it. He honestly said he'd rather pretend to be a pregnant woman. At least, if he's discovered, it'll be in the Dark Lord's body, so he could take all the embarassment.

True enough. I know I volunteered with Rinn. For her plan...but what does your plan entail? and Kenya, I love the sculpy's. I havnt molded with Clay in years. I was always better at making more practical objects like Glasses with some interesting detail. Maybe I will try that for my next con. Oh you've given me an idea. Thanks.

For anyone who has a plan...I am in 100%. BY the way, has anyone Seen Marluxia? And has anyone out west seen Luxord either? Marly went out for a walk one day and didnt come back, and Luxord should have been home a week ago. I know they will be more than ok, but if anyone sees them, can you let me know? And let them know I was worried? Thanks

I don't think it is on Tatooine, I just spent a week there, and I sensed nothing that would be the spike in dark Force energy the Emperors presence would cause. It may be on Naboo, where Palpatine was born.

That ^ was sarcasm.

Forgive my lack of grief at the moment. Currently, I'm angry at the fact that no one in on the operation bothered to check up on her. See the her blog for my whereabouts... or lack thereof.

Kenya:

I know of several people who would be willing to buy a statue of vader. Something to do with the Emperor not wanting any likeness of himself or his servants available to the general populace. I don't know what they want them for, but they mentioned something about "payback". Some people still don't think the Vader has turned over a new leaf.
