I don't know much about family issues (my mother divorced when I was 2, and my dad died in February in a cabin up in New Brunswick), but I can tell you that if your dad doesn't approve of your lifestyle, then he needs to get a broader outlook on life.Cody Cromartyhttp://www.fanfiction.net/u/569653/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13138413.post-84265946268718921842007-04-30T12:59:00.000-07:002007-04-30T12:59:00.000-07:00I can't honestly say I understand. In my case, I don't always see eye to eye with my father, but I do know he loves me in his own way.

I can, however offer my sympathy, and pray that your father changes his attitude.J.D.Wallacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13495901221657525480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13138413.post-36332876078730754442007-04-26T17:53:00.000-07:002007-04-26T17:53:00.000-07:00I'm sorry about how bad things are between you and...I'm sorry about how bad things are between you and your Dad, Sweetie. :(

I don't know if this would make things worse, but have you shown him this blog? This exact post, for example?

The song choice is ironic. It was a song I loved to sing from the radio, one that my Dad loved too.

I'm more fortunate: my Dad is very accepting of all my eccentricities. Shoot, he and my Mom even read my fanfic!!! And LIKED it! That blew me away. I expected them to just shake their heads and order the paddy wagon. Shoot, I'm 38, and I'm writing Star Wars fanfics? I can argue "practice for the real thing", i.e., being an author, all I like, but it's still STRANGE! :) I guess it helps that their daughter is also employed and happily married... they can accept my eccentricities since they know I'm "ok"...

Heh. That's probably your Dad's problem. He assumes your eccentricities will mean you're not going to be ok. Well, he's wrong. I KNOW you're going to be ok. So there. :)

Hang in there, Sweetie.Sith Snoopyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13294342645166710232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13138413.post-40065575665759074142007-04-26T06:26:00.000-07:002007-04-26T06:26:00.000-07:00Hmm...I can't say that I have a relationship with ...Hmm...I can't say that I have a relationship with my biological father because I barely ever see him. Instead I turned to mom's boyfriend(whose been with us since I was two) and my grandfather for that kind of relationship. It was Dario's fault I got into Star Wars, but he has a great sense of humor.Regeane Kelanhttp://regeane-kelan.livejournal.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13138413.post-9487874340665645262007-04-25T23:03:00.000-07:002007-04-25T23:03:00.000-07:00Roddy says hed be happy to give the lil guy a ride...Roddy says hed be happy to give the lil guy a ride home.. he needs to get out some and get some air.
Any how.. im sorry th at your dad has given you a hard time.. but like i said on my blog.. girls go for guys likethier dads..
