That would be hypocritical of me. Each person's relationship with their parents is different. It was a song I loved to sing from the radio, one that my Dad loved too. <BR/><BR/>I'm more fortunate: my Dad is very accepting of all my eccentricities. Shoot, he and my Mom even read my fanfic!!! And LIKED it! That blew me away. I expected them to just shake their heads and order the paddy wagon. Shoot, I'm 38, and I'm writing Star Wars fanfics? I can argue "practice for the real thing", i.e., being an author, all I like, but it's still STRANGE! :) I guess it helps that their daughter is also employed and happily married... they can accept my eccentricities since they know I'm "ok"...<BR/><BR/>Heh. Instead I turned to mom's boyfriend(whose been with us since I was two) and my grandfather for that kind of relationship.
